We have been busy little spring-time bees; writing the new songs and rehearsing them all has been exciting, challenging, and satisfying. They echo in my ears as the day blooms past and settle in my mind as the sun begins to set. “Hallelujah…” sings Kyle on three of the new songs, and what better word to describe Spring’s arrival and the upcoming album “Morning Light”.
Kyle and I have been spending most of our free time researching interesting recording and mixing techniques from the likes of Daniel Lanois (Joshua Tree, Time Our of Mind), Brian Eno (My Life In the Bush of Ghosts), Roy Baker (A Night at the Opera), Jon Landau (Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town), and Alan Parsons (Dark Side of the Moon). These men have done incredible work, creating and forming sounds that were perfect for the album and song, forever changing music as we know it.
Morning Light will be around 13 all-new-songs.
There will be an e.p. released prior to the album featuring 5 to 7 mastered songs previously released.
We have added the Dash-In on April 21st to our upcoming shows.
We are also currently working out a date to perform a concert for the inmates at Earnest C. Brooks Correctional Facility (Unfortunately all our fans on the outside won’t be able to partake in this experience as it happens, but we hope to capture it on video or camera for the rest of you).
Some other things coming up!
Some new video footage of us performing songs live.
Mad Farmer Ales has agreed to create a beer for our upcoming album; which we will be documenting as well for everyone to see some inside peeks into the studio, beer brewing, and us having a night cap.
